Empress Of China Exterior Paint

Our beloved line of Railroad varnish for wood and metal is made with Asian tung oil, the gold standard of drying oils. It is known for abrasion resistance, hard finish film forming and gloss retention. This is a hard-wearing coating.
Historic Paint
Our Historic Paints use finely ground dry pigments and linseed oil. Researched for accuracy of color and finish surface texture and produced according to early formulas, they contain no lead or mercury. Our oil based paints form flexible and strong glossy surfaces and are slow to dry—they do not dry the way we normally consider the term, but rather oxidize from liquid into a solid film.
Pontypool
The original eighteenth century European hard, gloss black finish imitating Japanese black lacquer.
Compounded with naturally occurring fossilized asphaltum, this pre-historic paint was a versatile finish before modern coatings.

Milk Paint
Old-fashioned milk paint in dehydrated form is an exceptional flat, opaque coating for decorative wood and cupboards. Just add water, mix and strain through cheesecloth. Produces a beautiful patina when rubbed down with a steel wool pad.
